Zoe is the author of the story collection There Is Only Us (University of North Texas Press), which won the 2022 Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction. Her stories are forthcoming in The Cincinnati Review and Story Magazine and have appeared in Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading, Hobart, and Craft. She is a 2025 Oregon Literary Fellow.

Her writing is informed by her work in many different worlds: as the program manager for a historic tall ship, the receptionist at a garbage dump, an olive oil saleswoman, a radio ad copywriter, and—currently—as the Senior Assistant Dean of Admission Communications at Reed College. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
